Scene Trimmer

Mark the parts of a scene to keep or cut, right in the video player, and playback skips the cut parts. Export a trimmed file, or split a movie into its scenes.

Tasks

  • Trim sceneStarted from the player's Segments panel. Cuts the kept parts into a new file (or one file per scene when splitting) without re-encoding.
  • Finalize trimQueued automatically after "Trim scene". Adds the trimmed file to its scene, or sets up the split scenes.

Settings

  • Marked ranges are removed booleanOff: the ranges you mark are kept and everything else is skipped. On: the ranges you mark are skipped. Only the default for scenes you haven't trimmed yet - each scene remembers its own mode.
  • Don't generate previews for trimmed files booleanAfter a trimmed file is added to its scene, Stash normally generates its sprites, previews, phash and marker previews. Turn this on to skip that.
  • Delete the original file after trimming booleanOnce the trimmed file is the scene's main file, delete the original (it goes to Stash's trash folder if you have one set). Off by default - the original stays on the scene as a second file. Splitting never deletes the original.
